Hit the NB yesterday with the wife between the Rt28 and Rt22 bridges in North Branch. Water was not as low as expected.....still pretty low but not like a few days ago. Anyway caught a bunch of dink Smallies a few in the 1 lb range. On the way out just before the storm hit our area ....the last cast before we ran for cover....I landed a 20 inch Small Mouth that was definitely my biggest ever. She was huge....really fat from eating well....looked bloated she was so fat. Awesome fight on lightweight rod. Peeling drag, jumps, the whole works. I'm still amped up from it. Sorry no picture....no camera when I wade the river...which is probably why I caught her! Great day considering the water level and the heat. Oh yeah...all fish on a 4 inch Yum Dinger Green Pumpkin wacky rigged or on a 1/8th oz jig head.
