Decided to try the big D for smallies today but that quickly changed into catfishin,fished a deep run that fasteddie told me about.Managed 3 cats and 1 smallie on worms and missed quit a few more good runoffs.Got my biggest flathead to date at just over 10lbs,along with a 2 others in 3lb range.All catfish kept for the fryer.

THAT IS AWESOME!!! Good job SHUCKER! That was during the day, now that makes todays catch EPIC AWESOMENESS!!! We'll get there at night one of these days with very large baits. DELAWARE RIVER MONSTERS, NJ EDITION, COMING SOON :D

I believe you meant to say "Flathead catfish are an invasive species...".
If the catfish were "evasive", they wouldn't respond directly to your questions.

Or maybe they are evasive. I never asked a catfish a question because I didn't think they knew much.

Evasive...Well maybe

Nice catch and those very large baits will attract the larger fish. Have personally caught them to > 35lbs on limb/jug lines in Ga/Tn on sunnies, so hold on

A great predator and excellent table fare

How far up river are these? I work at Portland Generating Station, and would love to try for these off our discharge tunnel. Are they up that far, and any tips? Thanks

I stand corrected by the way too smart chemist and the nanook of the north guy:D All fish are evasive when I'm involved, although I can catch fish on worms:p
