Fished the big river with SHUCKER yesterday from 11 am til 7 pm. It was like night and day compared to monday, 13 WALLEYE and a lot of SMALLIES. We had our baits /jigs in the water constantly and couldn't come up with anything picture worthy. Shucker did manage to get 5 or so SMALLIES on a RAGE CRAW and also some ROCK BASS. I myself gotta few SMALLIES, ROCK BASS, an EEL and a short STRIPER. Not a bad day on the water and it was good to get SHUCKER on the boat. Had a good time and sometimes my pet WALLEYES are picky, and so it goes, ill be on those WALLEYE like WHITE ON RICE next time. Water is low fellas be careful going out there. Ill continue to fish the river during the dog days of summer but its going to be strictly evenings for now until the water comes up. When I got that EEL and chunked his lil ASS I sent him into to depths in the deeper water, 15 minutes later, drag was rippin pretty good, picked up the rod, no fish. The EEL came back with no teeth marks or anything, STRIPER maybe! Thats my story and Im sticking with it. GOOD TIMES TIGHT LINES!!!

Shucker might just get a walleye if he comes out the next time I go for them on da rivah. We tried for em all day without really stopping. I don't get skunked going for WALLEYE twice in a row, just something that won't happen. NEEED RAAAIIIN!!!

Nice, I was out there yesterday too scoping some duck hunting spots with my buddy and doing a little fishing. We were both new to this stretch of the river, and I couldnt really find any good holes due to the river being so low. Ended up with 2 short smallies, but I really want a walleye from the big D. Looks like we need to do some more exploring!

There ar soooooo many spots on that river. If you have a chance to jump on a canoe or kayak and float down the river, thats what I've done. But sometimes its easier to walk a river looking and picking apart runs, eddys, deep holes and break lines in the water. I kinda like to watch where the fish are jumping and then figure out why they are jumping in that spot. Maybe theres a tree or a shopping cart that there hiding in. Maybe its a tail out right before some rapids. Lots of options on the D. Tons of fish to catch!!! TIGHT LINES GOOD LUCK!!!

how low and slow is the river right now? will a good electric bow mount move you around or is the main gas motor the only real option?

A canoe or yak would def be awesome there. We were in a 15ft jonboat with a 15 horse and a TM and some sections were a little too low for it. I caught the smallies out of semi deep runs following riffle. I really wanted to fish deeper water, but I couldnt find it. I really haven't fished the delaware much, so I'm happy just to avoid the skunk. I would def like to go back soon and fish it harder though, hopefully find a lunker walleye!
