When are you guys going to start fishing? I was at that spot a few weeks ago and some people had a bunch of spots taken by 7:00pm and they were there past nightfall. They were pretty spread out for the few of them that were there.

Well here a few pixs of the nights fishing.

Not lights out fishing, but a slow pick, in pretty good weather conditions.
Roger (Tycomps) took the pool, with a 7-8 lb. Channel on a hotdog:eek:.
Crusty Angler came in second with a one eyed Channel on a chicken liver:cool:
Tom (acabtp) and FastEddie caught a couple dink Bullheads.
If Eddie had been wearing GIANT'S logo's he would of caught more:p
I had a very nice time meeting some new guys here on the board and catching up with the regulars.

Oh yeah, somebody hooked and landed a guy name Bob, and left him on the towpath to dry out:eek::D

Great pictures, LOL! Bob sleeps everywhere I take him. That big Channel looks real tasty. I had a great time even if the fishing was a little SLOOWWWWWW. Good to meet new people. If anyone wants to join me in the BIG D one night this week Ill be looking for FLATHEADS. TIGHT LINES FELLAS!!!

Did Crusty Angler catch that cat on the River or the Canal? He was setting up on the river when I arrived, except I thought the only thing caught last night on the river was a good buzz. Well for me anyways...

Great seeing everyone, I just wish Bob would learn how to relax a bit !!

I told Hatterr to show up and he said "ah, you guys aren't gonna catch anything", I said "it's not about the catching !!" A good time was had by all.

Moz held the fort on da rivah, most took the easy road in the canal, no channels on live sunnies ?? go figure.

i got there at 6:30 (first one there :D ) and fished the river at 2 different spots and managed a snapping turtle on liver then a crappie on a twister tail before fishing the canal side. first i tried some spot down the towpath, then in the lock then right below the lock. got 4 bullheads up to 1 pound and an eel before the channel cat :cool:

Glad to see everyone out there braving the humidity and slow fishing. Like Andy said, it wasn't about the catching. Thank goodness for that, too. :D

And technically you could say I caught the most fish since I brought about 2 dozen live sunnies for bait. :p

Hey a good time by all

some caught, some fished, some talked, and we all may have had a few sips

lots of nibbles, two swings for me with nothing to show for it. Lost my rig at midnight in the weeds and smelled to high heaven like chicken livers so was out of there at that point. I still have the "liver" stench in my nose, but was glad I came. Slept by myself as the family did not want to sleep next to a chicken liver:rolleyes:

Hey, I caught a BUZZZ and the bugs were biting!. Next time bring hot dogs or cheese dogs, maybe brats, dont know, but the beer eased the pain of the skunk and donut.

great to see some folks again and meet a few new ones, could have used a bit more of a breeze and maybe a few more fish though! or maybe i just didn't bring enough cold ones, i dunno...

still can't believe that with everything we had in the water, rog nailed that sweet fish on a hot dog!

those dudes over by the pump station seemed like they had a good thing going... maybe next time we can find a place that has some BBQ grills set up. duke island comes to mind, too bad the county parks are closed at nights.
