Went to Neshanic station and it was the usual zoo of people but i fished both up and downstream from them. using a trout slayer, i caught a few sunnies and a smallie, lost a bigger fish that looked a solid pound, and headed downstream after the action there slowed. Got another 2 dozen sunnies and 4 smallies. The last fish hit a rebel crayfish and looked around 11". Hot summer days are best spent wading in a bathing suit on either branch of the mighty raritan :)

I actually moved to Neshanic not too long ago... without giving up your honey hole, any insight on where I can go for a few hours after work?

it wasn't exactly a honey hole, just a stretch maybe 1/5 of a mile long. there's a small grassy parking lot off of river rd. next to a white bridge. fishing is good anywhere between the red house to the black railroad bridge in between the trestles.
