After a week in Myrtle Beach chasing sharks from my kayak, I hit the river this morning for 1 hour before work. Crazy action with 6 pike landed and 3 good sized LMB. All the pike were in the 24-28 inch range, but in the shallow water, fought like crazy.

Now to the bigger teeth story. The shark fishing was insane! I only went out 2 mornings and the first trip was great with 6-7 sharks landed in the 5-6 foot range. There were bunker pods just off the beach with sharks crashing them every few seconds. It was very easy, just snag a bunker, put it on a single hook and hold on.

Here is a video of the bunker school that I took from my 23rd floor hotel room before heading out.

Here is another video of one of the sharks from the first morning.

The second morning was not as good with only about 3 smaller sharks landed, but I did have a huge shark on for about 5 minutes that bit through my 75lb. rated wire leader. I think I am glad that one got off because after 5 minutes, I almost got spooled and I wasn't making any headway.

pretty insane kayak action, you probably wont find me fishing for shark in a kayak but great job. Also had a very similiar passaic day this morning. landed some nice large mouth with big lures and some pike in the same size range

dan, could you please post a picture or two of the rig that you use to hold your camera out to the side of your kayak for your videos?

Here is a picture of my swing out arm on my older Hobie. I have a bracket that fits in the front hole of the hobie and this is the arm. I also have a different bracket on the kayak I use in the river, but I use the same swing out arm, made from 1/2 inch conduit. The camera screws on the top of the arm, I hit the self timer and swing the arm out.

I was just holding the video camera on a 2 foot pole for the shark videos. I don't bring the arm to Myrtle Beach in fear I would do something stupid, like trying to hold a shark for a picture. LOL
