did anyone ever have one of the canoe rentals haul their personal canoe/kayak upstream for a trip ? not too concerned on the length of trip but wanted to end up at the gap--i was trying to avoid having to be back on their time frame and could take my time drifting back to my car--any recommendations --prices etc. thanks

Im not 100% sure but I think you have to book a trip with them in order for the shuttle service to take you to your starting point. I have a couple buddies with pick-up trucks and trailers so we usually handle everything ourselves. You gotta check the kitatinny site and try adventuresport.com. They'll be able to give you the info you need on SOLO float trips......
