After using a series of Phenix rods for trout to Tuna & everything in between, they are my go to rod.
The tapers are unique , for
example my blackfish outfit weighs in at a whopping 14ozs!!
Their black diamond hybrid series are tuna & tile killers w/o the cumbersome weight .
The power without weight is worth every penny , they are truly an exciting variation from the norm & have a super selection of blanks ad
Well!

East Coast has been on top of this for quite awhile. They definetly have a great variety.

Been waiting to hear about these rods and how well they are doing here in NJ. I know the big push was on in the winter, but I passed on them. They are better than many other brands people are over paying for out there, I just figured everybody has them, so why add more to the over crowded market. :)

I liked the tapers and actual blanks myself. The price tag was my issue, but for the guy who knows fishing rods, I didnt see it being an issue. ( Only for the guy who buys a rod for the looks of it. All of the bling and color accessories). Phenix was lacking that eye candy appeal, that other rods in the price range seem to have. Has nothing to do with performance, just on the retail side of it.

Rods and reels are quickly advancing today and its interesting to see guys boating fish in half the time and half the tackle! Just last week, I landed a 55-60# bluefin on a rod & reel that weighed 15ozs. I use this same rod for ocean fluking. Phenix Rods have the same capacity and I am glad to hear they are holding up and performing as we expected. :)

Kevin not me but my rod builder he has been ahead of the curve on these and other blanks

The first rod I bought from him was a custom blank AR701 holly cow what a bottom fish rod black's to cod 6-18oz just sick

Like many others I tend to stick with what I know all the big names & super blanks But I'm glad a took the plunge on Phenix I'll never look back

I must be missing something? I looked at all the blanks but can't find one that matches your specs. Can you please give a model number?

I'm not sure where the model number you have came from.
The only blank they offer in the line class description would be
PHX C 796 H - this blank is 7'6" rated 14 X 35 line class!
I'm very familiar within blank & it's one of my favorite Striper, Tog & bottom rods.
Another top choice is their black diamond series, the PSW 700'M is an awesome general purpose inshore taper & light to boot!
You might want to look over their new Abyss series as well.
These are longer blanks buy you can cut the 8''s from the butt w/0
Effecting taper at all!
Phenix has developed a nice series of inshore & offshore rods & blanks with nicely designed tapers without the weight.
I believe they are the leaders in carbon fiber technology & their products are top notch !

Thanks Capt Lou I know we cut a littile so maybe it was the 7'6" blank

You know I go there for a fluke jigger and he shows me twenty different blank  so I get a little:confused: sometimes

I love it and recomened it
