Landed a 25" Walleye at Canistear Res.

It hit a Deep runner Rap chad. Caught and released.
Never knew there were eyes in there. Does the other Watershed res. have them as well?

Thats a nice Walleye buddy, congrats! theres all kinds of fish in all the watersheds. Short story, me and a few buddies are fishing oak ridge one night 2 years ago, caught a couple smallies, largemouth and perch. We go to leave and take a look down into the little gorge on the damm side of Oak Ridge, What do we see swimming up and down the creek, Walleye!!! Big ones too, how they got there, who knows?

Hey guys thanks for the replies. Gotta start thinking about tactics for Walleyes when I get out there again, too bad you can't fish at night there.

NICE!! Tried for some eyes there myself recently and struck out.

How deep was he? Were you trolling, or just crankin?

I honestly wasn't expecting an eye. picking up some smallies along the way Trolling at around 1.5 mph, with a deep runner shad rap #5. I was in 20 fow. Next time I think I will utilize my down rigger and drop the lure deeper more precise.
Really would love to hit some water at night for these guys. Has anyone had luck at greenwood lake or Monksville ?
