Finally got that Hybrid

Went out Fri evening on SR for Hybrid for the first time this year. I tried about a dozen times last year with only a few shorts to show for the effort. But fri it all paid off with a 24 inch football. Got him just before dark on a herring under a slip bobber about 10 feet down, I'm not up to that late am fishing that I hear pays off better. It was a battle on 6lb test and a trout rod but I got the job done with the help of my fishen bud Tom, I did threaten to throw his pole over if he didn't cut his line when we got tangled, which he did and also a fine job of netting it. Thanks Tom.

Nice hybrid. If I ever get my boat in the water that is what I'm going to fish for. Nice to hear that hybrids can be caught early in the evening. I've always heard that you need to out there all night to catch one.
