Went to check out the river today to see the water level. Still high but i decided to give it a try. Spent an hour or so weighing down livers. Hauled in a pretty big eel but not much else.

Decide to switch it up and tied on a rainbow trout pattern #3 mepps aglia. Couple casts later, Bammm. 28in northern Awesome... :D

Struggled to get the hook out and didn't want to keep him out of the water any longer so I tried to get a pic while reviving. Pic sucks, fish was nice........

I saw 2 guys parked on the shoulder of an exit off route 21, looked like a risky parking spot, but I saw them when I was driving on the other side of the river and they had a cool spot. That wasn't you was it?

I caught a Smallmouth yesterday near 2 Bridges on a Hula Popper.

I'm sick of losing lures in that river, I might switch to stronger braid or something.
