I'm buying a boat that does not have any bottom paint. I will be keeping it in a slip in NJ for 9 months
I want to get it done right - barrier coat and Micron
The boat is on a trailer so I'm not sure how I could do it on my own and get to all the spots under the bunks.
I'm looking for a shop that does this in the northern / central part of NJ. I'm in Morris County but will keep the boat in Atlantic Highlands.
Any recommendations ?
Thanks

It is the busy time, you could try anchor in farmingdale...main one marina in Avon ... Or find a you tube video on reverse winching with a pulley on your trailer pull off and block the boat, it's not to hard, I do recommend on a hard surface so you can use a dolley... Good luck

How big of a boat? If it has bunks you'll never be able to reverse winch it like it is said above. I have a 21ft boat and I just block the front of the trailer, then jack the back of the trailer up as high as I can go and then block the boat and lower just the trailer down to the ground. Then paint the back and then do the reverse for the front.
Now yes the first time is always the hardest because the unpainted surface has to be prepped first. Plus trying to figure out the water line can be a pita and you'll prolly end up painting it higher next year. Anywhere you go you're going to be put on a list because the marinas are racing to get all the boats in the water right now.

You also may want to keep it in the water for a couple weeks, that'll give you your water line. By then you should be able to find someone to do it

Try Wagner's Boat Yard in Leonardo. He's done 3 of my friends boats. John's a great guy to work with.
