I normally fish out of my kayak around the Hilton Head SC area for redfish, sheepshead, and flounder. I've got an 11' Native Manta Ray rigged for fishing, complete with a fish finder.
I haven't fished freshwater since I was about 15. Splitrock is convenient for me to try out. What worsk there. I've heard there's a good bass population but I don't know where or what they hit on.
Can you help a saltwater guy out?

A bit of a challenging place in a few facets, but one of my favorite places. The "ramp" is the first challenge, being that its a rocky steep declining hill. Easier and smarter with 2 people but manageable with 1 if you're careful. Great bass fishing there, both lmb and smb. I haven't totally figured it out yet there, but will be putting in some time there this year. Got skunked there 2 weeks ago though lol.

The ramp is the worst part.. this keeps a lot of people from actually fishing the rock due to how dangerous the launch is now. Once you get out there, its smooth sailing.. that is until you need to go back to the launch.. the hike up the hill is a doozie! ;)

I know the "ramp", I kayaked there twice last year.
Any fishing advice?

I've seen everything thrown, jitterbugs, senkos, rapala, spinnerbaits, you name it. I think it is more a personal preference.
