Has anyone had any luck this year on any of these places trout/bass/picks/carp? My wife gave birth to our second daughter this past december so I have had almost no time to fish, was only out for 1.5 hours on opening day (1 -17 inch rainbow caught on sb in high bridge)....took the kids for a walk by burnham yesterday, about 10 people fishing, not one catching...saw a 12'' lmb and a suspended brookie in the lower pond...couple big sunnies

I caught a solid pickerel while standing on the wall near the parking spaces at Burnham a week or so agao. The same day I had a nice bass and missed a couple more in Sunrise Lake near Brookside, right across the road from the small parking area near the Whippany River. Only fished for 45 minutes or so between both places. Hope that helps.

I have fished Burnham multiple times and have yet to get the skunk.. bass and pickerel are good in the lower pond as well as the upper.. carp in the upper as well.. it does weed up quite a bit though.. a good apot is right by the spillway on the upper pond.. good luck

First for trout for the first time at Speedwell Lake last Saturday. Was there from about 1 - 6PM. I know, I know; probably the worst time to fish but others were getting a bite or two. I also think my set-up was wrong: Eagle Claw egg sinker premade rig on 12# mainline (went this heavy in case I run into big pikes, carp, or cats) and used live worms, spinners and jigs. Didn't even get a nibble even though out fish swam 10 yards in front of me.

Any tips? Gonna try again Sunday morning.
