I was fishing for musky. I've yet to really go trout fishing this year and this is the first one I've caught. It will most likely be my last.:D

Nice brownie , I'll guess @ 5 1/2 #'s , 25" - looks more like a stream fish!

A new hybrid? It's got the head and skin of a brown trout and the body of a pickerel! :p

Nice catch all the same. You never know what you'll catch when you start chucking big lures around.

Thanks man. Pretty cool to hear someone say that. God knows I spend enough time and enough money trying to catch big fish. I'm definitely not a numbers guy, but I have some fantastic pictures.

Fish of a lifetime. Congratulations! That's why I keep at it. Everyday and every trophy fish is memorable for a lifetime.

Looks like a grand wild/holdover river fish. Almost strictly carnivorous. In the Big D?????

Unless that fish is glued to the camera lense , should go over 3#s, I catch several 2 to 3 # trout every week , they are 18 yo 20" fish. That fish looks yo be well over 20".
Maybe the guy that caught it could chime in with the specs!
Years back I caught a simlar fish in Swartseood it looks very close to this one per photo!
