Got out today...

Hit two small ponds in basking ridge today...no pics...sorry. First pond...got the biggest bullhead I have ever seen...wish I had a camera! Let it go to swim and make babies!!! Second pond had five dink lmb's and two crappies as well. Nothing to write home about...but caught fish, sat in the sun and just relaxed!!

Got a Fat bullhead myself the other night. Not huge, maybe only 2#, but 1.5# of it was belly. Got her back in quickly.

I will eat a catfish here and there...and this would have filleted up nice...but just too big. Put up a great fight and deserved to live another day!

Glad you got out. I'm trying to think what else is around the Basking Ridge area.

The north branch is not far off of 287 and burnham park pond is in morristown. Not much in the area. I have a client in warren off of mt. Bethel road...and there is a pond behind there in a nature preserve. That's the second place I went to, and that's where i got the lmb and crappies...all on fatheads.
