Good to see everyone today, and put some faces with names.

Myself, Wilson, Lard, Lard's dad, acabtp, Moz, Shucker, FASTEDDIE, Outofline and his gal showed up. Bronzeback was floating around making a cameo.

I think most got a few, I got a real nice hold over rainbow at the falls that no one saw and I didn't have my camera  a good 5 lbs. and 24" long. I didn't think I was gonna get him in on 4 lb. test, after I hooked him he came shooting out of the water, great, long fight, I let that one go.

Some of us went onto Nevieus, you could see the trout from the bridge.

Lard and his dad went to Roberts St and are doing good there.

Thanx for coming out, water was low and crystal clear.

Only caught 2 at Dukes. Both fish were about 17" and feisty.
Shucker and Fast Eddie caught some as well.
FE and I went to one of his secret spots and mohawked them for about 2 hours. All those fish were standard issue Brooks.

Great weather for once on opening day.

Nice meeting Moz and Tom and Bronze Back:)

Thanks to Andy for the dognuts and coffee.

It was great meeting everyone as well, would have been great if one of the stockies made introductions with me yesterday too!

I made it out there again this afternoon after getting back from NYC. Went 0 for 1 on the trout but on my second cast I landed a new PB with a smallie in the 4 LBS neighborhood. Took me for ever to get him in on my ultralite, glad I brought my net!

Have to find and hit the falls there at some point.

agreed, it was great to meet everyone, but i personally could have used a fish or two on the end of my line to spice things up a bit!

eddie, i already told you, my breeder is hanging out with andy's rainbow :p

thanks andy for the wading pole and donuts and lard for the rod, much appreciated

looking forward to the next meetup!

Lard and his dad went to Roberts St and are doing good there. We found a hole where the fish were stacked up and flashing like crazy. My dad got 2, I got about a dozen. A small suspending rapala ripped through the hole was the key. All cookie-cutter brookies.

I tried Duke Island from the dam down to the rapids this morning, nothing doing. I could only fish about an hour and a half because I had an Easter party to get to. Only two other people fishing.

Video is on its way!

Great to see everyone Saturday morning, hope we can get together again this season!

Well the few fish that I saw caught were all nice sizes 2 lb and up fish including my 2.
I guess there could of been a little more catching action.
The crowds were thin, if we (M+G guys) weren't there it would of been empty.:)

Must say that me and Fasteddie hit a small river in the Summit area after Dukes and killed them. Those fish were 10 -12" Brookies and stacked up like cord wood.

All in all a good long day.

My lawyer knows all about your potholes:D

Cleaned up at the small river after the main event on Panther Martins and Mepps. Silver, gold, red, white they hit anything thrown at them...like Bluefish!
At Duke Park I did not get a sniff on a spinner...lost 2 of em.
Fast Eddie waded across the whole damn river, found them, AND returned them to me:) What a guy.
Both my fish were caught on baby nighties.

Good seeing everyone again! FE, no problem with the nutritious breakfast! I couldn't catch a fish, but the buzz was good :D. Thought about hitting Farrington, but I know it's a madhouse on opening day. Got rid of the skunk yesterday up at the Englishtown puddle they stock. Landed 3 stockie brookies, all on spinners. Guys with bait weren't getting anything. Looking forward to beatin' them up on the Musky this Sat.
FE, I want to try a trip on the Big D with you one Sat/Sun. Let me know when you're headin' out, and we'll try to set something up.
Thanks again Andy for setting this up. Always good to fish with you guys!

I like to see tackle being passed around, wading stix going out, kawfee and donuts being consumed. It's only one day out of the year, nice to touch base with alot of fellow NJF people all at once ( and not on a party boat !)
Thanx again for showing up.

Very nice video, wish I could of made it, but the first day is reseved for family and the good old SB. My brother and I have fished it for over fifty years and now I'm taking my grandson. He caught like 10 fish the first day with help and coaching from Pop. He has a couple Pops, but that makes me Top Pop for the time being and thats a great feeling. I think I may change my handle.
