Got out today on two local streams , low water , one like mid summer!
Fished all my usual haunts except one , go there tommorrow.
Three for three slowest I'v seen it in many a season!
Not one angler out today, strange, maybe they know something I don.'t!
Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrows spot, might use the long rod tommorrow, noticed a little nmphyin activity today, lot less than previous years.

I usually fish all of the PA openers, missed em this year due to work. I got quite a few buddies I fish with out there, they said everything is down to a trickle. One of my buds did well on Martins, well he got his limit after fishing all day, thats not exactly a banner day for stocked trout!!! TIGHT LINES!!!

All the rivers are super low, that little spit from the heavens over the weekend did squat.
I didn't make it out to the early opener in southern Pa counties, heading out Wednesday to Lizard Creek. However I've been doing scouting for the past several weeks and it is horrid how bad the streams are. For the regulalr opener on the 14th I may put in some miles and head to Pine Creek.
Two days of light showers, now through the 11 th.
We need rain....

Definitely a better choice , the bigger streams will hold up better, smaller ones gonna be tough!

Hey Capt,
I think those nymphs are so darn confused with this weather. We all saw a huge hatch in jersey here, but that didn't last long and I fret the same probably happened in PA. Now they are waiting for that second round of warm weather. I noticed a bunch of nymphs flying around @ monksville, but nothing like last year. I think the next wave of heat that we get should get those suckers up and out of their coops and turn the feed on.
Just my two pennies, but I could be totally wrong :)
