Pequest open house with the kids

Took my little ones to the open house yesterday and had a great time,my daughter is 5 and son is 8 and they shot bows and threw tomahawks.Then we headed over to the tca for some trout,lots of aholes on the water.The river was the lowest Ive ever seen it and had tons of growth on the bottom but we still managed a few stupid stockies.At one point we watched a guy in the middle of the stream casting to the banks only to see the fish rising 2' behind him,I couldnt resist and took a cast right next to him and pulled out 2 small brookies.Needless to say he gave me an earfull with my kids next 2 me:mad:

Wife and I were there as well. The TCA looked like Saxon Falls on opening day:eek: I didn't even take the rod out of the truck, just drove on by. Hit Spruce Run for a bit...notta.
