Seeley's Pond in Scotch Plains will be more of a madhouse than usual on opening day of the trout season. The state has selected this as one of its small ponds that will be stocked with trophy-sized trout next week. This can only be good for the sport since a lot of youngsters fish there and they need to see those fish that dreams are made of. Hopefully some of them will catch a trophy.

Seeley's Pond is on the Berkeley Heights/Watchung boarder.;)
It's a s***hole to say the least. Dirty, muddy and an algae pond all summer. Way to shallow for trout to survive. I had a temperature reading last summer at 84 degrees. Pathetic spot.

definitely agree with that--- but, all the more reason for the kids to have a shot at the big trout for a bit and then fish them out and cook 'em up before the sun does
