Fishing locations near CNJ (Woodbridge)???

I normally go out in bay for fluke/Stripers but this year wanted to try out some freshwater fishing too; already got my nj fishing license with trout stamp... Already have some light rod, real and lures... The next big question for me is where to fish????.. Farrington in New Brunswick, Raway... That's it... Where else? Looking for some leads.... I do have a 12' dingy with electric or 9hp.... As a newbie in freshwater fishing I high appreciate any help to get started...

I'm in colonia too; Behind home depot..Brookside CT...
Im kinda surprised there are many fishing places close by; I'm willing to travel upto 30-40minutes...anything biting now?

Here's a list,milton lake,clark res,rahway park,rahway river goes from cranford to rahway,jackson falls ,winfield falls,nomahegan.there places are all within 10 min of you. All hold bass,carp,channel and bullhead cats ,white perch,
crappie,suckers,pickerel and trout during stocking.

dont forget about the lake off the beaten path by omar ave. check google sat photo of area- wrong shading but decent fishing
