Raritan 3/16 no shad...but:

Hit the Raritan below the falls for a few hours this evening, water looked great. Throwing my big 1/4 oz. chartruse dart I worked over the area pretty good and only came up with an 18" brook trout, no shad. I still think it's a little early, last year I didn't get them there until April. It was fun watching all the BIG suckers trying to swim up the falls. Sorry for the bad photo, I was banging it on my knee when it went off, yes, time for a new camera, maybe Go-pro video.
Wilson is out by the Susky already, gotta get up early and meet Snack and Wilson so we can hit it for smallies and walleye.
