Im looking to catch my first striper this year and I need some info on the times, places and what to use to nail some Stripers in the Passaic.... Help a brotha out.... lol:cool: :cool:

I know! I pull up to some spots now and they're occupied. I think it's great though that this fishery is showing great potential. Stripers in the Passaic, I would say below Nutley/Lyndhurst. I've spoken to some guys who fish that area and was told that they do catch them there along with white perch and catfish.

Whats not to love about the Passaic River? think about it... almost every desirable species is available in this river... for me i love the Northern Pike, tiger muskies (yes there are some in there), smallmouth, largemouth, striper... but there are crappie, white perch, yellow perch, trout (stocked and wild) and who knows what else?:eek: :confused:

Really???? Ive actually walked/waded through some of the bottom part of the falls and it was all pretty shallow.. at least where I was walking...

Anyway... what is good to use as tackle?
