took the day of yesterday and boy am i glad i did.was up at lake hopatcong at 8am ready for a nice day of fishing.started at brady brige with high hopes.
tried the jigs first but no good.went to the swimmers and still no strikes.i then started working a zara spook,on the 2nd cast boom!!! something blows up on it but i failed to come tight.now the hearts going and i am working that zara like theres no tomorrow but nothing else.i moved all around the lake only to find that the fish were not in the mood to eat.around 1pm i head back
over to brady and someone must have turned the switch"on"!!.it was a fish a cast{it was crazy} with crappie, sunnies, white and yellow perch and a few small slime darts.i left them bitting at 4:30.i released all to fight again.i can't remember ever having such a nice day this early in march.the chartruse color
was working best about 2ft below the bobber.take a few turns of the reel and wait and keep doing it.nows the time
