Fished the Manasquan river this morning. I got 4 small browns and an 18 inch white sucker on worms. That was the first sucker that I ever caught. It gave a great fight, pulling drag the whole time. I did that for about a hour then went to some local lakes. I fished a 5 inch green pumpkin on 6 lb Pline. On my third cast, I got the slightest tap and figured it was a sunny. But set the hook anyway and reeled in an almost 22 inch bass. It was followed up by an 18 inch bass and then 2 smaller bass. I also had another big hit that I somehow didn't hook.

I used an online fish weight estimator and it said that my 22 incher was 5.4 lbs which would be my new PB in NJ. But it also said that my 18 inch sucker weighed 0.10 lbs. It felt like a couple pounds to me- so who knows!

I was scraping ice off the windshield at 06:30, it was plenty cold this morning.

Nice bass there, great catch for March.

That bass is a pig! Nice job, especially on the light line.

That Pline is crazy strong for 6 lb. I've had rods break before that line snaps.
