View Full Version : My buddy's baby Hopatcong Musky

Posting this up for my buddy who landed this little guy on Lake Hopatcong on Sunday. He was jigging a small Rapala jigging rap on 15lb test for Hybrid Stripers when this guy swiped his lure in 50ft of water. Needless to say, he didn't catch any Hybrids, but this fish measured 48" and 26lbs.

You should of checked it for Catfish on the Lake's fingerprints:D

We actually compared the two side by side before I posted it for him :D . Very similar size, just tough to judge because they were holding them differently.

Im confused:confused: , is the baby musky inside that trophy sized one! If that's a baby musky I wouldn't fish for anything else! Awesome fish, Awesome catch!

LOL just being sarcastic ;) . It was a hell of a fish, his personal best freshwater.

They got some healthy looking fish in that lake, best to get started before the 28 ft. pleasure boats start tearing it up.......and jet skis !

wow you and catfish caught every freshwater mans dream fish. incredible.. ur so lucky. im very jell. im not saying this in a negative way but 48 inches and only 26 pounds does not sound right. that fish does not look skinny, it should of weighed alot more, maybe im wrong. but who am i to say bec i never raised or hooked into anything like that... U THE MAN

where you guys fishing up by brady earlier sunday???i thouhgt i saw you guys casting some plugs by the bridge.i was up there crappie fishing.
