Bro, just throw a bright colored stick/jerk bait or a double spinner bait with trailer and you will have no probs... trust me...:D

Hate to say it, but u will prob come home with a few less lures than when u started. But its worth a try.
Lately I've been using eagle claw snelled nylawire liters, size 1/0 hook.

A 1/0 is prob a pretty good size hook, but I'm partial to fluorocarbon. I think in the long run it produces a few more hits. I use 20-lb fluoro for pike ice fishing and I have yet to have one bite through (even took a musky through the ice with fluoro and the leader was nestled between it's teeth). As long as you don't have your drag locked down and try to muscle the fish, even a big fish shouldn't bite through 20-lb. fluoro. If you wanna feel comfy, up it to 25, but I also believe the lighter the leader, the more natural the bait looks in the water. Just my opinion.

Leader Presentation to PIKE and MUSKY mean nothing.... they will hit whatever is at the end of the leader if they are enticed... I play it safe.... 30lb braid w/ 5" steel leader (20lb)..... have not missed a hook set or lost a fish yet....
