Ventured out to the South Branch Califon this morning. What a screwy weather day. First the sun is out to the point where I was taking layers off then next thing I knew the sky turned black and started to snow. Spent a majority of the morning fishing small holes with waiters on, in between the heavily fished holes. Came up with two rainbows that were 13 & 13 1/2, back to back, out of the same fast water. The funny part was there was 4 guys fly fishing directly up stream from me and here I come, Mighty Mike to pluck two bows out from under them. There faces were priceless. I've been fishing this particular stretch of water for the past month and a half about 2-3 times a week. Gotta say, this year winter trout fishing is red hot. Check back tomorrow for the next fishing adventure. Not sure where my destination is going to be but thinking about Musky, North Branch, or back out in Califon. See you all out there!
