i might try and get out in the AM for a bit...wife just had shoulder surgery done yesterday and i took off work today to help her out so well see if i can sneak out tomorrow

I have been fishing every weekend since Dec 24-25 and this is the first weekend that I have not caught anything. I had about 7 hits and was unable to hook up with a fish. Talked to a few fishermen and only 1 person said he caught a few small yellow perch. Still a great day at the lake. Weather was great.

Threw everything but live bait on Pompton today. Tried to focus on deeper water, but mixed in some shallow water jerkbaits for a possible pike or pickerel, but it was dead out there. Water temps were still 41 degrees.

I hit RVR from the causeway this morning using lures and nothing was doing. No bites and no cruisers swimming by. I even tried the swimming lake for a 1/2 hour hoping to salvage maybe a pickerel and that didn't work either.

Oh well, not bad for a mid-February day.
