lake hopatcong 2-15-12

Hit hopatcong today lookin to score a few perch for the frying pan, which we did. Then we got a surprise when my dad hooked into a slob walleye jigging a small phebe tipped with a wax worm intended for a perch. I would estimate it at apprroximately 8-9 lbs. would like to post a pic does anyone know how to post a pic on here from an android phone?

WAY TO GO!!!!! the lake is pretty alive for mid febuary.guys fishing the shallow coves are catching some nice pickerel and a few largemouth.

Great Walleye man! What kind of depths were the fish in now?

Thanks guys, the walleye and perch were at about 28 to 30 feet. We did see a guy catch a few perch of the shore at dows also at about 5 feet of water. The fish seemed very sluggish we had a lot of light taps on our jigs which resulted in missed fish, normal for this tome of year i guess. The walleye did spit out a large herring on the way up and was fat, so it seemed like it had been feeding pretty heavy.
