Well i decided for a news years resolution id have 2 one to keep a fishing journal and two to post on here when i fish. ive looked at this forum for about a year now and enjoy reading about what other anglers are doing and where and how ur catching. also if anyone needs a fishing buddy in the morris county area let me know fish lake muskenetcong and hopatcong almost everyday am excited to try the boat i got over the holidays at round valley for some lakers and budd lake for a pike

Ran over to dows to grab some bait without having a spot in mind but knew i wanted to fish got outa work later then i hope so by the time my brother arived at my house and we gathered geared we arrived at dows around 4pm guy on the dock had a nice crappie right as we got there was temped to try some of the smaller coves on lake hopatcong, got inside saw lori had some nice big lookign shiners and went with that headed over to camp j alot more ive then i though but found a gap where we could cast thought we give it a few minutes and leave but this was not the case missed a fish in the first 2 minute before my brother even got a hook on his line threw another shiner on there and had a slime dart the next hour was similar castt in the right spot and it was on instantly. i ended the day with 5 pickerals all in the 12 to 18inch range brother had 2 pickeral same size and one large mouth about a pound good start to the new year

was upset i missed fishing a few of the warm days we had earlier in the week so decided id take my little brother to camp j and get him on a pickeral or two got my shiners from dows and was on the way. we got there to my pleasant suprise the ice from earlier in the week was gone yay some room to cast got our bait in the water and waited 15mins went by and we could see bait jumping 10 feet from the shore i was starting to wonder wat was taking so long looked over and my brother and his rod was bent ok here we go, but not the average fish soo i reeled in and waited with the net after a few runs and no jumps a beautifull four pound pickeral was landed his biggest to date and just a great fish to get open water in feb rest ofthe day we picked away at pickeral nothing big but we got the biggen early ill take that all day
