give it one more week

today me and my brother hit monksville today just to fool around and do a little jigging. when we got there we saw one guy there and so we thought it was safe, but when we started drillling we heard some cracks and decided it wasn't worth the chance and headed back.

Personally i would say give it another week and the ice will be real good.

Did you fellas drill all the way through? Im pretty sure you may have felt a pressure crack. I was up there last monday on 4 inches.......

no, we didn't drill through. we felt the cracks when we where walking and one right about when we just drilled anout an inch down. what is a pressure crack? im still fairly new to ice fishing.

In my opinion it could have been a pressure crack. Im not sure. The ice makes alot of noise sometimes. Im headed to Monksville shortly and ill be there for the day. Gona try to catch me a MUSKY!!!!
