Lab, Thanks for putting this trip together. Takes a lot of effort to organize a trip this big and you did a bang up job at it. First class job. Food was amazing and thank you to everyone who brought something and to Tom (smokey Joe) for the absolutely amazing brisket and pulled pork. In fact I never seen so much food on a boat.

Catching my PB was highlight but the whole day was great.

I had a great time met some new faces and all around couldn't ask for better trip only thing is wish they chewed a little better tough picky bite had to work for it.

Looking forward to the MIMI next week.

Great trip, even if the fishing was a little slow. Spent Saturday on the Mimi and had NONE in the box all day:mad:. Sunday was pretty much the same. I donated a few ling, and cbass to the jmurr foundation, but couldn't find a keeper tog. I finally got the hit I was looking for LATE in the day and boxed a decent fish. At the time I didn't think it was good enough for the cut, but tagged it anyway (hey, I had the tag, why not use it). Ended up to be good enough for 4th place! Next weeks schedule is now in the calender, Mimi saturday AND sunday! I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my birthday next sunday!

Great fishin with a lot of old friends and some new!

I didn't eat that much during the day i rather spend my time on the rail than in the galley...

I will either bring a 3 foot roast beef hoagie, roast beef in gravy in crock pot to make hot roast beef sandwiches, or meatballs You let me know.

Trust me I plan on putting a good fish in the boat next week, but if I its someone else that puts in the hours good for them.

Love um or Hate um, one thing that can not be argued is the the man (Lab)ochestrated a great show yesterday organizing this trip with some great people. Props all around to those who fished as well as to Captain Bobby and crew. Not only did we have a good time but we raised a nice size donation for a greate cause. See you next week.

All i can say is WHAT A GREAT TRIP.. we have a "motley crew" in the stern from corner to corner!! It was an amazing time, Mike is a great dude and funny how everyone sees the gentle side of him on these trips.. lol Tough day of fishing but i managed ot have a great time no matter what.. Fish or no fish, that was one of the best trips of the year for me!!

I can see way the trip was limited to 40 guys, the Coast Guard does issue weight restrictions for boats and based upon the food and drink we had, I can see why were such well proportioned men :)

I was a had not, a couple shorts, a doggy and a big mean eel that I thought I had the pool winner on as I was bringing it us since it was foul hooked and rolled into the line. What a fight and what a dissapointment when I got it to the surface.

Was nice meeting and fishing with everybody. Boat left in the dark and returned in the dark, can't ask for a better effort or day

D Mac will clearly be The Chalk because he EARNED it!

After him..........it's anybody's chance. The past winners are all out. Some of the favorites are OUT (Stellie, Clam Strings and Fish Cakes [ha ha ha]) and Boston Pete and FinS really SUCKED so The House will have to really put the thinking cap on!

Read all the time how fishing was tough but people still had a good time even though they did not catch well. I always seem to have trouble enjoying myself when I do not catch well ( 3 keepers blacks, 2 seabass, 1 ocean pout and 3 short tog) Can not swing on bites if they are not there or swingable.

This trip proved otherwise as I truly enjoyed myself. Had the opportunity to meet some old friends as well as put a face to the name of some new ones. Have now expanded on my fishing family that I can now call friends. Looking forward to fishing with you guys again.

Got crabs today and a little care package to add to the ones I am holding. Hoping for even more with friday's crabs.

In case of a tie to those on waiting list, the person who signed up first gets the spot. If said person can't make it, the spot goes to the next person (the person he was tied with who signed up later).

While the 2 trip format was a good idea, with so many qualifiers not being able to go back to back weekends I am gonna hafta re-think this format for PUOSU 5

I volunteered to bring a 3 foot roast beef hoagie (Submarine sandwich so lab understands) I am having my guy wrap it by individual slices so it doesn't turn into a crab cake sandwich and stays clean

Yeah but if only 5 guys dropped out then you take 500 split by 10 leftover guys making it 150 a guy instead of 200. How many from the original list up through Bobby you posted dropped out? 2-3 so 200-300 divided by 12 or 13 is only approx 25 bucks.

Stellie, Jigamafish Joe and I started the day at the OB Diner for breakfast. Joe went to Fish Monger and Stellie and I to Mimi.

Left the dock @ 6:30 and headed north. We set up outside a group of boats off Elberon and picked some keepers. Chad caught and Ray and I skated to keep him warm (yeah, brisk to say the least). Chad pulled another and Ray BOATED his big fish of the day (his ONLY fish) while I missed a bite. THEN Ray got waffled.......set the hook and started reeling. He got the fish off the bottom but this fish was MAD. After just seeing how his GRUMPY'S CUSTOM ROD (shameless plug) handled the 7+#er just a few minutes early, I KNEW this was a PIG. Boston Pete on one side and Chad on the other with me peeking around Chad as the fish thumped and thumped. Got a couple more turns on it and then BINK and the line goes slack. Pete's jaw dropped and Ray's face went BLANK. We now have a New Momoi Slicer. It may be great for tuna but this is the third fisherman I've seen (me and Boston Pete being the others) destroyed by this line. It nicks fast and fails under pressure.

We made a move north and inshore to an area Captain Kenny calls the Meat Market because it's yields so many nice fish.

Rob B pulled a nice 5#er and DMac one around 6# plus some others around the boat. A few dinks came over to my left as I tossed a full white crab on a single Gami 4/0 and it got pecked 2x. Then I got the right bite to swing on and it had very little resistance. I thought I had another dink. THEN it got mad when she released she was hooked and my GRUMPY'S CUSTOM ROD (shameless plug) starting pounding. I gained line on my Newell 220 (Thank You Lefty Reeler) and the fish head up to the bow. To cat-calls from my FRIEND Stellio "Woof Woof - Doggie", I got the fish to the surface just as it wrapped around another line (KurtisB?). Mate Chris scooped the net underneath and plopped my P.B. on the deck. 11 pounds 7oz. Put her in water right away and waited through the day for someone to beat it.

D Mac, D Rod, Stellie, Scooter among others caught other NICE fish (or rolled them) but my fish held up to take the title and pool.

3. Just because it's your 54th Birthday, that doesn't mean you're not gonna be The Bug (as opposed to being the Windshield). OUCH!!!
4. Scooter to MVP "You gotta get one of these strap-ons. Feel how hard IT is" as MVP does. OMFG *
5. It's better to be chased than it is to be chasing.
6. A warm cabin is a Godsend on cold days.
7. Wearing finger-less gloves can be used as an excuse for missing a big fish.
8. When a TRAY of brownies is UNCUT..........you can eat half of it and say with a clear conscience "I only had ONE piece"
9. We have some of the nicest people on this site

Wish someone could have either turned on the heat or turned the fan off my hands are still burning. New it was gonna be a cold one when I came out to find my rod and reel encapsulated in ice. Picky bite again really had to wait out the right bite.

Weighted my big fish after it was bled when I got home on digital at 6 lb 14oz.

As Mike stated, the fish headed towards the bow. I was third up that side and got wrapped around his fish. I reeled for a while and left loose when my line headed towards the stern and the fish got near the surface. Chris did a nice job netting the fish and untangling the mess.

First time I had a chance to log in. As has been mentioned big props go out to our charter master for organizing this PUOSU IV challenge. Well deserved big fish honors for all the hard work he put in. Was right next to Lab when he hooked the big fish. I must be a lucky charm as same thing happened on previous trip on DMACS fish. As Lab was reeling in his fish he did not say a word as he new he had a good one on. Those were the best 30 seconds of the entire trip:D

First time I had a chance to log in. As has been mentioned big props go out to our charter master for organizing this PUOSU IV challenge. Well deserved big fish honors for all the hard work he put in. Was right next to Lab when he hooked the big fish. I must be a lucky charm as same thing happened on previous trip on DMACS fish. As Lab was reeling in his fish he did not say a word as he new he had a good one on. Those were the best 30 seconds of the entire trip:D
