get on the water at sunrise and started tossing rats, this is my 9th week in a row of going there and after getting skunked last week i wanted to make up for it...and did i...best count out of the 9 weeks with 5 crappie (best ones pic attached) 2 rock bass, 1 largemouth and a MONSTER pickeral (also attached below) for a total of 9. i got the pick out of the water and up the shore a bit and he snapped the line, bounced off the roots and landed in the water where you see him in the pic, he lay motionless (cept for breathing) so i snapped a pic real fast (since he wasnt moving), pulled him out and got the lure out and gently got him back in the water where he took off like a bat outta hell after only maybe 2 seconds. didnt want to keep him out any longer than that to weigh or measure him because of the fall so one can only guess...but the lure in his mouth is 3" long so you can guess the size based on that...awesome day and definitely a day i didnt want to leave the water but alas, i had to

Nice fish. There's smallmouth in there:confused: . Have any pictures of them? If there are, awesome, but Ive never heard of any besides the lakes and rivers listed in my lake and river books.

im an idiot, i meant rock bass (calico?) but was thinking small mouth for some reason (was exhausted when i got home and wrote this)...i know theres rock bass in the PO and after Irene flooding the PO well into scarlet oak theyre most likely from there (+anything else from the PO not normally in the lake there)

and no, i didnt get pics of them, were a lil anxious to get back in the water (as well as the LM, which wasnt that big, maybe half the size as what i usually catch there) and jumped from my grip as soon as i dehooked them

dont know if youre being a wisea$$ or not but if you are ive already stated in the past why i do, but today i can add that it was 49 degrees out when i hit the water after it was 90 just a few days ago so yeah, it was a bit chilly...if youre not being a wisea$$ then thanks

nice productive outing there Johnny. Maybe we can meet up there one Saturday, I'm about ten minutes away.

OK then, I think there are smallies in the Ramapo too but rock bass look a lot different so Im sure they were rock bass. If you get some real big ones, they are good eating.
