Are we definate the the dam collapsed? Or is it so much water that it's just overflowing everything?

Part of the dirt berm at the head of the lake collapsed, not sure about the concrete dam. This caused the road, bridge and culvert to collapse also. School about 1/4 mile up the road, kids that used to walk will now have to be bused.
River Plaza Marina, or what is left of it, is about 1/2 mile in the other direction. I am taking a ride over there now, What used to take 10 minutes will now take about a half hour. ( I hope) But this will give me a chance to check out Red Bank Marina.

Ron I live down west front from that, but haven't had the chance/need to drive down Hubbard into Middletown just yet.. let me know what it looks like when you get a better idea. Does this mean that road will be shut until they rebuild the infrastructure? That would sux...

That's too bad. Shadow Lake was stocked several times with tiger muskies in the 90's. If any have survived since that time, they would be pretty big now. It looks like the whole lake emptied into the brackish Navesink River.

Sorry, couldn't get there from here. I knew I would have to go into Red Bank and turn on W. Front St. But W. Front St. was closed. Started down Shrewsbury Ave. to NewmanSprings Rd. and thought, Why am I doing this?
I did see a couple boats from Red Bank Marina on the water so they must have something working. Lefty, Remember how long it took the County to fix the little bridge on Navesink River Road last year? Good Luck!
Picked up a box of Joe and headed to my Wife's salon. Girls had moved chairs over to the windows so they could see to cut & color. Helped my B-I-L get some more power into the place. Ok, I held the flashlight! Girls can still only cut & color but at least they can see what they are cutting!
Ralph, at Slaters, still working on getting something going there. Not only did Ralph lose business he lost product and to top it off a tree fell on young Ralph's car!
Still hearing Friday as the earliest for getting power back to the area.:( The Belford Substation got fried so they are trying to reroute and bring power back slowely so they don't lose another substation.

I remember talk of if the dam were to be replaced it would include a fish ladder. That would be great. Whatever happens it'll take 5 years or more to finish the way things work here. That puny little bridge in Navasink took over 2 years to complete.

So is the lake pretty much empty other than some deep spots, or just low?
