Got out to the manasquan res around 1pm. Fish large spinners and lures for musky but got no love from them. After throwing for a few hours we troll some of the drops still nothing. Went to plan b and started throwing senkos. managed a few large mouths, the biggest being around 2 pounds not a bad day cause I heard there was a tournament earlier in the day. Seen tons of soft plastics all over the bottom in the shallows guess the res gets a lot of pressure but still gave up some fish.

Assunpink....got livers and shrimp and headed out around 7pm and got to the boat ramp as the last boat was pulling out.had the lake to ourselves set up on what looked to be a creek channel with a drop from 8 to 14 foot of water. Started getting bullheads as soon as we dropped down and the action was steady until the moon came out from behind the clouds. decided to quit while we were ahead with at least a dozen bullheads. again no channel cats. fished till 1 am or so.looks like i'm gonna have to make a trip to the dig D to get some real cattys

Have you ever tried the Res for Cats? I sighted and spooked a pair of them in gravely gin clear flat directly across from the boat ramp. they looked to be a about 3-4 pounds each, I was surprised they were so shallow because I've seen Eagles pluck fish from that area all the time.

I have caught a few bullheads while striper fishing but thats about it. although I seen a guy leaving with a channel last summer that had to be close to 20- pounds...biggest channel I ever seen
