The weather was great and the moon was bright, so I fished the Rockaway near my house in Denville last night around 10 pm. After tossing back a few small bullheads, I hooked into something much bigger... It took a couple runs and jumped out of the water, so I figured that I had a LMB. Much to my surprise when I got it to the bank...

Carp? 18", 3 pounds. I didn't know they were in the river here (upstream of the Boonton dams). Had some more bullheads and a rock bass before calling it a night around 11:30.

I believe that's actually a white sucker, not a carp. However, I don't think they get much bigger than that. Nice job.
