Saw this on another thought it was cool.sea tow is offering a new and free way to conduct a radio check that doesnt require help from other boaters.To use Sea Tows new automatedradio check service simply tune your vhf radio to the correct channel for your location and conduct a radio check as you normally would.Upon releasing you microphone the systemwill play an automated message and relay your transmission back to you thereby letting you know other boaters can hear you.They have service from Maine to Virginia.Here are some channel numbers for New Jersey.SEATow Manasquan 24-SEATOW northern New Jersey-27 SEATOW Atlantic City-26 SAETOW central New Jersey-27 SEATOW Sea Isle-26 SEATOW delaware river26

Nice to know anything that eliminates congesting airwaves, OK!! Do they list receptive locations so you can appriase radio output for a specific distance? :cool:

Just went on SEATOWs website.They dont list specific locations just the ones foe general locations.You might be able to call SEATOW and ask.Good luck.
