All around the mulberry bush
The carp eat the berries
Put a berry on your hook
POP! You caught a carp

canned corn and vanilla extract, chum heavily then string a few corn beads on a hook leave the drag light and make sure your rod is secured not just laying on a small twig in the dirt....sit back drink a beverage of choice and wait for the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, lift and reel. Great fight nice coloring huge pucker lips been into some 10#'s on really light stuff absolutely awesome...

Good luck but keep an eye on your tackle;)

a buddy from work told me wheat bread and vanilla extract no weight, tried it once but the bread never lasted long enough to attract the carp cuz the sunnies hit the hell out of it...read online after that, the best way is to put an egg sinker 1/8-1/4 on and wrap and tie a square of pantyhose around the bread so 1)sunnies cant do much damage and 2)it can sit there a bit longer calling to the carp...they like anything sweet...havent tried it yet...debating on going out for a bit tonight and might try...if i do ill report back if it worked

Pizza dough with anise. Make pea sized bits. Find a good spot and toss in a few pre made baits at the same time for a few consecutive days. Tell the children you want to try a spot and fish that time with the bait. Freshwater bluefish fight on!!!!!!!!

This would never work....I'd eat that freakin bagel before I hit the end of my driveway!

Chum as others said, also try to find less heavily pressured fish. Carp are a very smart fish and become wary of baits once they have been caught.

i went carp fishing today with corn.i got many strikes but no fish.it almost seemed like they where suckin it in and just spitting it.and then they would take my bait.i was just using a regular size 4 hook and a weight about a foot and a half above the hook.is there special hooks i need or am i doing something wrong?when i had the fish i always had slack in the line.am i supposed to keep it tight for when they take it.

my neva fail carp method...tried and true in oakland lake and crocheron pond....bayside areas..
take trebel hook and steal some white bread from your moms kitchen...squeeze the bread around the hoook to make a castable bread chunk...flip this out and watch it float...as time progressed it will begin to fal apart and create a chum slick....finally the fish will find it and you can actually watch the carp take it and if you open your bail and let it swim you can set trhe hoook when you are sure it has it in its hookable area....
please use a smak hook as carp are not good to eat and if you cant remove the hook leave it and release...do not i repeat do not kill the fish...
i will send you a coupon for a can of bumblee if you need a meal thqt bad..
corn is for suckas and where the big fish are you will loose everything on the dead trees that are in that water...
I hope this helps...

try a size 8 or even 10 hook they can feel bigger hooks and use no weight if possible

No weight or a slip sinker, any directly tied sinker will not work. Only stupid fish like striped bass will run away with a bait on a 4oz sinker.
