Got to my honey hole for the first time today the berries have been out there for a couple of weeks it looks like already. I picked my cup of medium ripe (pink) and a couple of juicy ones that stain your hands and headed down the hill quietly. Half way down I watch 8 carp circling eating all the falling berries. Hooked a berry casted.....BOOM I was in right away. landed him about 8 lbs fished for about an hr landing 8 total carp and one 5 lb cat...all on a berry and a hook. Going back tommorow with a friend so I hopefully will post some picts of the fish and my purple hands. Get out and find a mulberry tree right away it's a ball and so cheap. Good luck

I gotta try this one time. Just have no idea where I am finding this tree, but it sure sounds like a good time

Joe, if you're anywhere near Bergen County, I'll give you the location of a tree over the Hackensack. We used to catch some big carp under there when I was like 14 years-old. I stopped by a year or two ago and it was still there, but for some reason the berries on the tree hanging over the water seem to ripen a bit later. PM me if you're interested.

I used to watch the carp in the Saddle River suck down those berries as soon as they hit the water. I think Joey knows where every tree in Bergen County is...Now all I have to do is wait for him to back out of his driveway and I can follow him to his secret. spot....
