I will be out Friday. Where you guys gonna be and what are you using. I fished Tuesday night and caught one small striper and lost a few. They felt small and I think the KnuckleHead was too big for em.

Guys,

I have been following these posts and figured I would ask. I fish mostly saltwater, but I do have a boat at Hopatcong. We are up there most weekends. Dropping hotdogs or night crawlers in Byram's Cover for catfish when not swimming.

Can you give me any advice on targeting stripers or eyes? I would love to head up there to fish as opposed to just being up there to swim and dropping a line. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Bait or lure types? Places on the lake? Best times? Etc ...

Thanks,
Bruce

My 2 buddies and myself were out last night until 3am, Ive been night fishing there for 5 years. I have never seen sooooo much herring in my life until last night, there was a startling amount of herring on the surface. It looked like it was raining. Anyway got a few walleye, nothing big. Couldnt get a striper to bite last night. Lots of fish out there to be caught. TIGHT LINES!!!
