I very rarely use plastic worms and such but today I decided to toss some and get some experience with them. I didn't get any hits or fish with worms. Tossed on a Junebug and within minutes had this chunker on the line.. It's also my 1st fish on a plastic bait..
I really need to invest in a scale. I have no idea how much it weighed. I'm thinking around the 5lb - 5.5lb area.. What do you all think?

Trust me I will continue trying for a BIGGER one. I am extremely happy about this one. I saw a few swimming around there where bigger than this one, but they seemed to only want to chase sunfish

That right there is a better than average bass on MOST NJ waterbodys. I'm sure the April stocked trout helped him get that way. Nice catch!

Nice fish, I would think they are just chasing sunfish away from the beds this time of year.
