If you ever spent any time around the docks and boats in Atlantic Highlands or Highlands you probably met Tom. He was a devoted father to his special needs son David who he took everywhere. I met Tom and David at one of our Christmas parties.
Tom was quiet and always flew under the radar, never calling attention to himself or all the issues he was quietly facing, which he never mentioned or dwelt on. You'd never know otherwise because his glass was always half full instead of empty.
Spent some days fishing with him on the local party boats, got to know him and whenever we'd see each other there was always a renewed smile of friendship.
RIP Thomas Krako, your example and attitude is an example for us all to look up to and we are all better people for knowing you.
