Phewww that ocean was nasty!!! Thankfully the seabass didn't mind! Had a sold out crowd out in some less than ideal conditions this morning. Got our teeth kicked in on the ride out, but powered through and made it to the grounds. First couple drops weren't it, picked at the keeps with a bunch of shorts but you could see it wasn't happening. Rather than sitting and rotting, we took a ride and found some keepers that wanted to bite. Loads of shorts with a ton of quality keepers coming up. Couple of limits but everyone had fish to go home with. For the conditions we were given, I'll take it!

Unfortunately though, tomorrow is now forecasted to be worse than today. And today was iffy at best😳So with that being said, we are cancelling tomorrow morning, Sunday 7:30AM.

Pick a nicer day and let's go! We have until Thursday to catch these fish before we switch to fluke. Come on out and fill the freezer!

Great honest report captain. Anyone can fish in fair weather, going the extra mile and getting it done is what your customers will always appreciate and remember.

Leave the BSB regulations as they are, it's been a very long time since seeing quality keepers that size inshore for one of the best tasting fish in our local waters. I know people will look down at that comment but if you can keep the fishery healthy and have people catch quality fish like that albeit for a shortened season, I'd take it. Now, if fisheries management ever concentrates their efforts and starts making smart management decisions to build other stocks to fill in all seasons for the recreational community, no one will be complaining.

I know people have made comments about the offshore 10 bag limit but truthfully as great as those trips are, how many people actually go offshore for a 24 hour trip, spend all in probably $350 plus to catch 10 or even 25 BSB. I'd rather spend $150, catch these sizes inshore in the spring and focus on other winter stocks if they're ever managed back to levels they were at years ago.

Either way, great report Captain, kudos for going the extra mile to put smiles on your patrons faces.
