youtube.com/shorts/jiGy7Nvb8nw Cooked up my fourth batch of homemade corn meal bait for this year today, then went fishing 🎣 in 71 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a warm, cloudy day with a moderate southwest wind before thunderstorms 🌩️. Threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then caught nothing with corn meal. Caught and released a white perch and yellow perch with a 1/32 oz chartreuse twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. On my last cast of the day I hooked an 18.5 lb snapping turtle 🐢 with corn 🌽 bait. As I was pulling it towards the shore, the hook popped out and the turtle 🐢 started swimming away. I stepped on it, grabbed its tail and landed a free swimming snapper. Amazing 🤩. Made a video of the release. Caught 10 turtles 🐢 this year. Took pics. 12 fishermen were nearby. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting.
