I make artisan quality smoked meat products at https://www.samsbutchershop.com/. I just recently smoked trout for a local fisherman (see attached image). The fish are brined, smoked and vacuum sealed. I think smoked bluefish would be good and I was wondering if the best approach would be to contact captains of bluefish charters if I wanted to provide this service. Let me know if you have any thoughts.

Maybe talk with Gerry about being a sponsor on this site and then discuss with the many other charter sponsors on this site and smoke everything : Ling / Fluke/ Blues/ Blackfish / Stripers / Porgies / Whiting (although still not many around) etc.
Unless of course you are a sponsor and then never mind the first sentence.
Nice website now I am hungry just when I was trying to lose weight

Sounds like a great idea! I'd be happy to smoke anything. Bluefish just seem like a salt water fish that would be good for smoking.

Smoked bluefish are the best. Half pound for $27 on the Internet.

Smoking the ribs from blackfish is an excellent way to make even better use of the meat. Delicious.

Pretty much any thick-fleshed saltwater fish is good smoked. Also, striper and blackfish ribs are good. Smoked fish used to be much more popular back when we had whiting runs. There used to be smoke houses about every 8 to 10 miles along the shore.

A friend smoked some bluefish for the 1st time few years ago. He said it was delicious. I asked him to save me some. Saw him 2 days later no fish. He said "Sorry it was too good. Next time.".
Also, Smoked YF & LF Tuna Bellies are great.
