Got out this past weekend on a few trips between the wacky weather we been having. Water temps have been on the rise and the fishing keeps getting better and better. Last few night trips we been finding the walleye with some hybrids starting to show up in the mix finally. Little surface action rhe lasts few times out. I also got out in the streams with Carter for a Mother’s Day special with the fly rod. Took the hike and worked a bunch of skinny water with very little to show for it and worked our way down to some deep pools and were able to put some in the net.

Walleye/hybrid trips now for a few weeks…
Trophy trout on the reservoir and lakers also available if you’re looking to get out.

*Father’s Day special promo now thru Father’s Day… $250 for 2 must be father son/daughter Amy additional sibling 50$

I went on my annual night pilgrimage with Mike last night.

Started off with two eyes right after sunset, one dink, one keeper sized. Thought the bite was going to be great, but it was the dead sea for the next 3 hours. We kept hopping around and changing up, but no luck despite the effort by the capt.

Finally, at the last spot with time running out, the herring started to surface. For the next hour and a half it was game on. A nice steady mix of hybrids and eyes. Nothing beats that sound of fish slamming your lure on the surface, feeling the line go taught and your drag peeling off in the dark.

A BIG THANKS to Mike for putting in extra time and for heading out when he could/should have cancelled the trip. I think most other guides would have rescheduled, but he wanted to get me out on the water after a few weather cancellations.
