Spring bait trout opening day

Taking my son and giving it a shot on opening day. Is there a particular bait which works well there or just the usual Power Bait? I would try earthworms but I think there’s panfish in there and don’t want to be bothered by them.

Panfish will happily eat pretty much any bait. If you want to avoid them and favor trout, throw spinners.

Mikes pink salmon eggs
Small rapalas black and silver /gold black
Berkley power worms in pink,orange,
