Saturday pike / Sunday last ice

Decided to take a day off the ice Saturday to see what was going on at a few spots. Stopped by the local trout hole and got a nice brown then headed to the river. Fished a little while by myself before meeting up with rob. Fished the rest of the day at a few spots and found a few pike to play with. Lost more then we hooked. I finally stuck a good one somewhere around 35”ish. That fish almost yanked my Berkley cherrywood in lol 6” of the butt of the rod away. Went down hard dove for it and smashed my knee but so worth it. Sunday did the meet and greet thing on st park with the guys. Started out in front of the beach then moved over to the far left after my buddy got a bunch of monster slime darts and called for back up. Bullheads and big pickerel for us over there and called it quits around 2:00 for the final day of ice for me this season. Time to get back in the boats!

That was a good time out with you guys at state park i did not get any slime darts like that one your holding or the one yuri got but i did find some perch sunnies and a bullhead to play with. i offered some of the perch to fasty but he said no thanks he was having a good time with scotty in the eskimo tent that had aal the accommodations of home:rolleyes: it was good to fish with you all lets hope that we can do this again next year.
