Can't wait, will have my popcorn and beer ready! :D

The fact is NJDFW does a fantastic job trout stocking, doing so while on a limited budget to boot. I remember the '70's and '80's stockings, this is a whole lot better.

As far as the brown trout are concerned, sure I'd like to maybe see a limited number be stocked but there are a lot of things in NJ I'd like to see that aren't happening either. Like a reduction in traffic.

When it comes to trout fishing things sure have changed over the years. I remember going to Saxton Falls on opening day, just to watch ! You hardly see the crowds you used to see during trout season anymore. I knew it was going to be interesting to see just how many brown trout there were after the State stopped stocking. I do agree, I think brown trout should be stocked again. Some states put fertilized brown trout eggs in cages anchored to the stream bottom and let nature do the rest, don't even need a hatchery.
F&G did a poll among trout fishermen and were actually surprised how many practiced C&R. Also discovered of all three rainbow trout were the easiest caught as well as least expensive to raise.
